Sammy Keyes is an 18-book mystery series by Wendelin Van Draanen, about junior high kid, Sammy Keyes, and the mysteries she encounters as the series progresses. It is told in the first-person from Sammy's perspective. This series blends detective fiction as well as comedy. The series started when Sammy began seventh grade, and ended when she completed the eighth grade.

*Despite it being clear that the series started when Sammy began seventh grade, and ended when she completes the eighth grade, the years that the book takes place in are not clear. The series started in 1998, however, by the end of the series, many devices and other things from the late 2000s and 2010s were used and references, such as films like Hancock(2008), and Facebook.
